[NO ANIMATION] At dawn, the capercaillie begins its mating display - spreading its tail feathers and loudly beating its wings. During the night, it rests high in pine trees, far away from predators on the ground. A highly territorial bird, it fiercely protects its secluded corners of the forest. While it cannot truly fly, it is more than fast enough to peck careless players in the backside.
