What I need#

Factory Network is a mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge) that turns a factory into a programmable system: machines get a connector and a name, a controller with cables forms the network, a server rack gives it compute, drives with cells store items and fluids, and all logic is written in a small language inside an in-game editor. The blocks have to sit comfortably next to the machines they connect.

I need a full visual redesign of the block and item set. The set already exists and works in game — 18 blocks, 51 items, plus 34 cable colour variants that are pure recolours. I will hand over the current models and textures as a starting point, so this is a redesign against a complete reference, not a blank page.

The blocks: Controller, Controller Extension, Terminal, Display, Drive, Server Rack, Press, Fabricator, Router, Gateway, Quantum Bridge, Transmitter Mast, Burner, Creative Power Source, Cable, Dense Cable, Crystal Ore, Deepslate Crystal Ore.

The items fall into families that should read as families: storage cells (4 tiers), fluid cells (4), chemical cells (4), energy cells (4), server parts (processor, memory, disk — 4 tiers each), stamps (4), cores (3), cards (range, infinity, acceleration, batch), and single tools (Wrench, Label Gun, Network Analyser, Laptop, Wireless Terminal, Connector, Crystal, Plate).

Style and references#

Direction: Applied Energistics 2. Dark metal, thin light accents, quiet surfaces. The set should read as the same genre and sit next to AE2 in a pack, but it must be original work: nothing traced, recoloured or copied from AE2 assets. The current set is 64x64 and I want to stay there. Machine blocks are solid, not open frames: three quarters material rather than scaffolding, status lights on the surface. Tiers within a family differ by colour and a small countable detail, not by silhouette. Current renders and source files are shared with interested artists on request.

Technical requirements#

  • Java Edition JSON models plus the .bbmodel source projects

  • Textures 64x64, PNG, one file per face group as in the current set

  • Block models must fit the existing blockstate files, or come with the blockstate JSON if the part structure changes

  • Vanilla parent models where possible, no custom renderers

  • Everything must load in game without errors; I will test before accepting

How it will be used#

In my own mod. Start with a pilot of three blocks — Controller, Press, Terminal — so we agree on the direction before the rest is made. Full set after the pilot is approved.

Offering is how you start the conversation, and it puts you in control of it: you decide what to share, and withdrawing takes it back. The poster reaches out to you, never the other way around.

I mostly work with the people that commissiones me with constant feedback druing my work, that way i can do modifications when needed without issue! I saw there is a lot of items to do and since I'm a pixel artist, I'm really hyped by those as well! You can check my profile on Blockbench Workshop to see my work if needed !
